Open Letter to the 26 of July
Agents, contractors, and subcontractors of the empire continue reaching last century’s conclusions that protect the dictatorship of the 26 of July
Granma survivors see the North American empire, as we see the 26 of July dictatorship: When this obstacle fall, we will be free. Free to what? To exercise power of speech, travel, buying, selling, saving, and investing, equally under the law, supervised by government?
We can do that, now, starting with.. Cultural exchange; but the 26 of July dictatorship fears that our talented dissident Cuban / Americans visit Cuba. The dictatorship is afraid to face the candid talent of the virtual Cuban generation in exile.
The least powerful Cuban exile minority feels proud to enjoy the talent that visit the United States, from Cuba, and welcome them to this "Cuba", exiled in freedom, all equally grappling, everyone equally before the law, supervised by the government. But our exiled generation wants to share with the present of their generation in Cuba, intellectuals, and artists, to showcase their talents there, too.
• "After experiencing among Cuban exiles in Miami the negative consequences of unequal cultural exchange, my daughter Yadira Escobar (Cayman Group Vice President) requested a license from the Treasury Department, to bring his art exiled to Cuba. The project was to expose his private collection of oil paintings in the private home of an independent painter Camagüeyano, and the administration of President Obama not allowed. The Treasury denied the license to be an exile Yadira enMiami, and the plan is to leave the Cuban exile leadership ".
